Chippy at work

Calm conditions allow us to undertake some maintenance projects on deck, like preparing a new stay, to be rigged later and Arran, our Chippy, keeps on building wooden boxes for our engineers. But as it gets closer to dinner-time the wind picks up and with both permanent watches on deck we take away all Studding and Skysails, the latter ones just to be set a bit later again. The change of watch after dinner takes place under gorgeous sunset colours and during the night the wind is backing to the North and now the old lady slides over the waves with 8 to 9 knots on a SW-ly course.
