Life in Canadian waters

Heaving anchor at 5AM leaving our sheltered spot York Harbour. A little rain, strong wind around the head land the start was promising, but with the morningwatch coming up the wind died out floating around with drizzle we could enjoy the spectacular view on the mountains of Newfoudland a little longer. A slight breeze came up and with a Southwesterly course heading towards Nova Scotia, the voyage crew just freshly familiarised on the helm and the lookout, light thunder sounds in the sky, a wind shift, wearing ship bracing, wet pants, some action in the morning for the first day! At noon the sky's are clearing, sun is coming through, drying our clothes, fishing mackerel and cod: Life in Canadian waters is not that bad!
